What is MERV?
MERV stands for Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value — a standard score (1–16 for home filters) for how much a filter captures. Higher isn't automatically better: a too-dense filter restricts your AC's airflow and makes the system work harder. The goal is the right grade for your home, not the highest number.

MERV 8
Everyday basics. Captures household dust, lint, and pollen. A good fit for homes with no pets and no allergy concerns that just want clean, reliable filtration and maximum airflow.
MERV 11
The popular all-rounder. Everything MERV 8 catches, plus finer pollen, pet dander, and mold spores — without choking airflow. The sweet spot for most Florida families, pet owners, and mild allergy seasons.
